Smokehead Rum Cask Rebel is a heavily peated single malt from an undisclosed Islay distillery, finished by Ian Macleod Distillers in Caribbean rum casks. It is a limited edition that pairs intense peat with tropical sweetness.
The nose is peat smoke wrapped around toasted marshmallow, with a savoury hint of bacon. On the palate, pineapple and banana meet strong smoke, with orange, cinnamon and clove adding depth. The finish is long, shaped by soft vanilla sweetness and a touch of nutmeg.
