Smokehead Tequila Cask

Smokehead Tequila Cask is an Islay single malt selected by Ian Macleod Distillers. After its initial maturation, the malted barley spirit is finished in tequila casks, which adds new notes to the familiar peat. It comes in Smokehead's black bottle with a bright blue skull. The nose pairs strong peat smoke with lively citrus and grilled pineapple. The palate shows sweet meringue and creamy toffee, with juicy peach, blood orange and a touch of lime. The finish is long, with pronounced smokiness and a fine fruity note.
