Old Scout is a straight bourbon from Smooth Ambler, bottled at 99 proof, or 49.5% ABV. The recipe is high in rye: 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley.
It is blended in limited, hand-selected batches and is not chill-filtered. Sweet and smooth, it has the bold character expected of a good bourbon, with notes of butterscotch, leather and cherry pipe tobacco.
