Spearhead Single Grain Scotch Whisky (70cl, 43%)

This is a Scotch single grain whisky from Loch Lomond Distillery, made from 100% malted barley, distilled in a Coffey still and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in virgin American oak, using barrels toasted with infrared and fire. The nose is typically described as violet, dark berries such as blackcurrant and blackberry, vanilla pod, caramel and dark chocolate. The palate is velvety, with red apple, a hint of lime, vanilla sweetness and light brown sugar, and the finish is long, soft and sweet.
