Spearhead Single Grain Whisky (70cl)

Spearhead is a single grain whisky from Loch Lomond distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% malted barley and distilled in a Coffey column still, which is what makes it a grain whisky. It is matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for six months in a combination of traditional toasted oak barrels and infrared toasted barrels. The nose offers violets, brambles, blackcurrant, vanilla, caramel and dark chocolate. On the palate come red apples, lime, vanilla fudge and brown sugar, which linger into the finish.
