Spey 18 Year Old Limited Release is a Speyside single malt from Speyside Distillery, in a 20cl bottle at 46% ABV. It was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2016 after 18 years in sherry casks. It is not chill-filtered, and only 1,500 bottles were filled.
The nose is ripe orchard fruit, raisins, berries, walnuts and vanilla. The palate is sweet and rounded, with apple, pear, fudge and vanilla, moving towards chocolate, dried fruit and gentle oak. The finish is long and fruit-driven, with dark chocolate, nuts and mature oak.
