Spey Trutina Cask Strength (59.1%)

Spey Trutina Cask Strength is a single malt from Speyside, matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks. It was bottled at a cask strength of 59.1% in an edition of 1500 bottles. The Speyside distillery was founded in 1990 by George Christie and works with small stills. The nose is delicate vanilla, caramel and toffee apples. The palate offers creamy vanilla custard, buttery fudge, sweet pear and apricot cake. The finish recalls apple crumble with gentle spice and vanilla cream, and a touch of pepper at the very end.
