Spey Trutina Single Malt Scotch Whisky (20cl, 46%)

This is Trutina, a single malt from Speyside Distillery, in a 20cl bottle. It carries no age statement, matured entirely in bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring. The bourbon casks keep the character fresh and fruity, built around orchard fruit, white grapes, vanilla and delicate floral notes. The nose is light, with white grapes, apple blossom, vanilla and sweet confectionery. The palate opens with creamy vanilla and orchard fruit, then ripe pear, apple, gentle honey and white chocolate. The finish is medium in length, with sweet fruit, white chocolate and a little warming spice.
