A Speyside single malt from Speyburn, aged for at least 10 years in American oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks and bottled at 40%.
The distillery stands at the northern end of Rothes. It was founded in 1897 by John Hopkins and draws its water from the Granty Burn, a tributary of the River Spey. The colour is pale gold with amber highlights.
The nose is fresh and aromatic, with lemon, orange peel, red apple, cinnamon and heather. The palate is medium-bodied and smooth, with toffee, butterscotch and apple pie. The finish is long and sweet, with citrus, creamy toffee and a touch of barley.
