This is an 11-year-old Speyside single malt from Benrinnes, distilled in 2010 and bottled by Thompson Brothers at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The release is 401 bottles.
It matured first in oak hogsheads, then spent 31 months finishing in sherry hogsheads.
Red apples and damsons open the nose, with spiced candy, vanilla, strawberry ice cream and toffee sauce. Creamy dark fruits, figs, Turkish delight, dates and almonds shape the palate. The finish lingers with fruit, soft spice, red velvet cake, strawberry cream and vanilla.
