This is a 9 year old Ledaig from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull, distilled in 2017 and bottled at 60.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was bottled specially for the Netherlands by Spirit of Scotland.
The whisky matured in a second-fill sherry hogshead, which adds soft sherry influence to Ledaig's firm peat smoke.
The nose is typically described as peat smoke, dried fruit, sea salt and dark spices. The palate is powerful and layered, with smoke, raisins, caramel, pepper and a subtle maritime saltiness, followed by a long, smoky finish.
