Spirit Thief American Oak Cabernet & Bourbon Cask Whisky (50cl, 48.3%)

Spirit Thief American Oak Cabernet & Bourbon Cask is a whisky from Spirit Thief Distilling Co., which has no distillery of its own and uses spirit made elsewhere. It is bottled at 48.3% in a 50cl bottle. The whisky was matured in 30% American oak ex-bourbon casks and 70% American oak Cabernet casks from the Clare Valley in South Australia. Both were toasted and re-charred. The nose has vanilla fudge, lemon drizzle cake and candied orange peel. Stewed plums with cinnamon, fig jam and praline lead the palate, and the finish brings dark cocoa, mocha and rum and raisin.
