This is a Springbank 10 Year Old, a single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown region, bottled at 46% ABV in the 2010s.
The nose is sharp green apple with a steely, mineral edge, alongside earthy grasses, fresh hay, tart lemon and biscuit, with a little sea air. The peat is gentle and more pungent than smoky.
On the palate it is viscous and oily, with salty malt reminiscent of shortbread, peppery oak and notes of lemon and lime. The finish is medium in length and dry, salty, with a quiet trace of peat.
