This is a 1999 Springbank single malt from Campbeltown, bottled by Claxton's at 47.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Springbank was founded in 1828 by the Reid family on the Mull of Kintyre peninsula. The Mitchell family took it over in 1837 and still own it. The distillery uses water from Crosshills Loch and lightly peated malt, and distils two and a half times: a mixture of feints and low wines goes through a third distillation.
