Staoisha (Bunnahabhain) 2014/2020 5 Year Old Artist Collective 4.0 (70cl, 61.2%)

This is a 5 year old peated Bunnahabhain, sold under the name Staoisha, from the Artist Collective Series 4. It was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2020 at 61.2% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in refill sherry butts. The nose is rich and concentrated, with farmyard, smoked meat, peat and cigar smoke, opening to mustard poultice, iodine, violet, candied lemon and pear. The palate is dense, with fruity peat, clove, juniper and liquorice. The long, warm finish is malty, peaty and spicy with black pepper and star anise, and candied lemon and pineapple return.
