This is a single grain whisky from Strathclyde, distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2025 after 31 years in a refill Oloroso sherry hogshead. It is bottled at 54.6% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Samhain Series, whose labels are designed by the Edinburgh-based artist and designer Steven Shand.
The nose brings toffee apples, candy floss, fresh hay and nutmeg. The palate is soft and buttery, with pancakes and syrup, toasted coconut and spicy oak. The finish is long for a grain, with peanut brittle and glazed cherries.
