Strathclyde – 2005/2024 19 Year Old 1st Fill Oloroso European Oak Butt Finish James Eadie (70cl, 61.1%)

A single grain Scotch whisky from Strathclyde Distillery, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2024 at 19 years old by James Eadie. It is bottled at a cask strength of 61.1% in a 70cl bottle, with an outturn of 315 bottles. The whisky had a 25-month finish in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt made of European oak. The nose has barbecue sauce, leather, orange zest and dark chocolate with a touch of salt. The palate brings dark chocolate, caramel and cherry fondant, with umami Worcester sauce and cracked pepper beneath. The finish is dark caramel, cranberries and chocolate with gentle clove spice.
