Strathcolm 12 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky (2015) (70cl, 40%)

A single grain Scotch whisky aged for 12 years and bottled by Angus Dundee, the company that also owns Glencadam and Tomintoul. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The spirit is distilled in a column still using the Patent Still method. The grain bill combines unmalted wheat for body, corn and maize for sweetness and rye for spice, with a small amount of malted barley added for depth. The nose is floral and oaky, with a little citrus and fresh vanilla. The palate is light and gentle, with floral notes, vanilla butter and cream. The finish is soft, with a light vanilla note that lingers.
