This is a Speyside single malt from Strathmill, distilled in March 2010 and bottled in 2022 after 12 years in cask. It is a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV from The Vintage Malt Whiskey Co. Ltd., and it is non-chill-filtered.
The whisky matured in American oak and then received a Marsala wine finish. The finish adds a sweeter, rounder and deeper layer to the light, floral character of Strathmill.
The nose is honey, apple, soft vanilla and light flowers. The palate brings sweet malt, stewed fruit, a subtle wine influence and soft spice, leading to a medium, warm and slightly sweet finish.
