Strathmill 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt selected and bottled by Asta Morris. It was distilled in July 2011 and bottled in February 2024 at 51%, from cask AM159.
The whisky matured in a bourbon cask and is bottled without chill filtration or added colour, so its coppery shade is natural. The release is limited to 286 bottles.
The nose is vanilla cream, soft caramel, ripe oranges and fresh apples, with oak spice and a little cinnamon. The palate offers fresh apple juice, quince and dried mango, with vanilla ice cream and warm caramel sauce. The finish is medium in length, creamy and lightly sweet.
