This is a 25-year-old Strathmill single malt from Speyside, bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured in refill American oak casks and was a special limited release in 2014, with 2700 bottles released worldwide.
Strathmill began as a corn mill in 1823 and was converted into a whisky distillery in 1891.
The colour is gold. The nose offers cream, citrus fruit, malt, brown sugar and some cloves. The palate is sweet, with citrus, herbs, honey, cinnamon and cloves, and the finish stays a while with subtle mint.
