Sullivans Cove Double Cask is a Tasmanian single malt whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 45% ABV. It is made from 100% Tasmanian malted barley, distilled in small batches on a pot still and matured in full-sized casks.
The name refers to its two cask types: French oak ex-tawny barrels aged 12 and 18 years, and American oak ex-bourbon barrels aged 11 and 12 years.
On the nose it is delicate and complex, with subtle malt, fresh fruit and a light sugariness. The palate brings juicy malt, gristy barley and gentle sweetness with melon and soft fruit. The finish is smooth, with lingering warmth from creamy malt and oak.
