This is a Year of the Horse edition of Suntory Special Reserve, a Japanese blended whisky. It combines malt and grain whiskies aged in oak casks. Suntory was founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii and is Japan's oldest whisky maker. Special Reserve has long been part of its range as an approachable expression. The blend is usually described as smooth and balanced, with vanilla, oak and a touch of spice.
