This is Suntory Special Reserve, a Japanese blended whisky bottled at 43%. It dates from the 1970s or 1980s. It was a limited edition released in 1981 to commemorate the Year of the Rooster. Suntory has made Japanese whisky since 1923, when its founder, Shinjiro Torii, chose the Yamazaki area for its soft water and distinctive climate.
