The Chita is a Japanese single grain whisky from Suntory, made at the Chita distillery in Aichi Prefecture. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It is distilled from grain only and matured in a mix of wine, sherry and bourbon casks.
The nose is delicate, with honey, nutmeg and sandalwood alongside light mint and vanilla. The palate is soft and silky, with ripe fruit and white chocolate. The finish is long, with sweet spice and a slight touch of smoke.
