The Chita (70cl)

The Chita is a Japanese grain whisky in a 70cl bottle, made at the Chita distillery in the port of Nagoya. The distillery belongs to Suntory and is the largest in Japan. Three types of grain whisky, distilled in two, three and four column stills, are blended and then matured in a mix of Spanish oak ex-sherry casks and American white oak ex-bourbon casks. The nose offers crema catalana, banana, cardamom, acacia honey and blooming rose. The palate is enveloping and follows the nose. The finish is long, bringing out fruit and a light salinity.
