The Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese single malt whisky selected by Suntory, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured for at least seven years, partly in ex-sherry casks and partly in casks that first held Bordeaux wine. Its colour is a deep golden yellow.
The nose offers red fruit and coconut, toasted nuts, sandalwood and a touch of vanilla spice. The palate is soft and balanced, and the long finish brings back sweet, spicy echoes.
