Yamazaki Golden Promise Tsukuriwake is a Japanese single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki distillery near Kyoto, released in 2024 as part of the Tsukuriwake series, which explores ingredient-led whisky making. This edition centres on Golden Promise barley.
The spirit was distilled in 2009 and matured entirely in American oak casks. The nose offers orange marmalade, custard creams, toasted malt, pineapple and fresh citrus. On the palate come vanilla, honeyed cereal, gentle oak spice and layered tropical fruit. The finish is long, with citrus oil and soft sweetness.
