Talisker 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks and belongs to Diageo's Classic Malts series.
The nose is fresh and fragrant, with thick, pungent smoke, sweet pear and apple peel, and pinches of maritime salt from kippers and seaweed. The palate is a bonfire of peat and black pepper, with a touch of brine, dry barley and orchard fruit. The finish is long, with bonfire embers, toasted malt and a sugary underlay.
