This Talisker comes from the very last 1984 casks at the distillery, which were set aside for decades. It is part of the third release of the Prima & Ultima series.
The casks were kept back because of their promise, and the whisky has the maritime, peppery character of Skye.
The nose is mineral and lightly smoky, with chalk, salt and fine sand, and seaweed drying on a hot day. The palate has a light, oily texture, sweet and malty at first, with a touch of salt and smoky pepper, drying towards a long, peppery finish.
