This is a 10 year old single malt from Talisker, the distillery on the shores of Loch Harport on the Isle of Skye. It is bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky is aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks. Warm peat and coastal air sit alongside orchard fruit and juicy barley.
The nose is fresh and fragrant, with pungent smoke, pear and apple peel, and a little maritime salt. On the palate, peat smoke crackles with black pepper, brine and dry barley, balanced by orchard fruit. The finish is long, with toasted malt and a sugary sweetness.
