Talisker 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, matured for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks. It is bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle and belongs to Diageo's Classic Malts series.
The nose is fresh and fragrant, with thick smoke, sweet pear and apple peel, and a little maritime salt from kippers and seaweed. The palate is a crackling peat bonfire with black pepper, brine and dry barley, balanced by orchard fruit. The long finish carries toasted malt from bonfire embers over a sugary base.
