Talisker 11 Year Old is a single malt from the 2022 Special Releases, bottled at 55.1% in a 70cl bottle. That year's collection took its inspiration from the mythical creatures of Scotland.
Besides the classic bourbon casks, some wine casks were used for this release, adding notes of fruit and spice.
The whisky is a deep, bright gold. The nose is maritime and salty, first recalling a beach fire. The palate is oily and sweet throughout, with a fruity hint of an orchard. The finish is long and lightly smoky.
