Talisker 30 Year Old is a single malt from Skye, re-released following the previous bottling in 2017. It is offered in its purest form: annually varying refill casks, natural colour, non-chill-filtered and bottled at natural cask strength. The outturn is 3,200 bottles, here in a 70cl bottle.
The Talisker hallmarks of pepper and smoke are present in a softer, more subtle way.
The nose is honey, salted caramel, sea spray and a beach bonfire. The palate brings lemon, lime and apricot with gentle pepper, and the finish moves through Scottish tablet, vanilla, barley and soft oak.
