A Talisker single malt aged 8 years, from the Isle of Skye and released in 2021 as part of the Special Releases under the theme Legends Untold. It is a limited edition.
The whisky was distilled in 2012 and matured in refill casks that had previously held heavily peated whisky. It was bottled in 2021 at cask strength, 59.7% abv.
The nose is lightly sweet with cereal, then seaweed and iodine alongside smoke and peat. The palate is soft and oily, salty throughout with a touch of sweetness, peat, smoke and peppery spice. The finish is long and warming.
