Talisker Skye is a single malt from the Isle of Skye, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. Part of the whisky was matured in freshly charred oak casks, which gives it a particularly spicy character.
The nose has light pepper and earthy notes with sea salt and smoke, alongside orange and mango fruitiness. The palate starts soft, sweet and lightly smoky, then turns to salted caramel with honey and barbecue notes. The finish is long and warming yet fresh, with strong pepper and sweet smoke.
