Talisker – Storm (70cl, 45.8%)

Talisker Storm is a single malt from Talisker, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery describes it as smokier than its standard Talisker. Some who have tried it found it a little sweeter, and the general verdict was that it is very tasty. Tasters place it between the classic Talisker 10 Year Old and a peaty Islay malt. The nose brings wet wood, peat and green apple peel. On the palate, peat comes through clearly with little smoke, a maritime character that is not salty, more apple and a light nuttiness. The finish is mild to moderately strong, with a touch of pepper.
