Tamdhu 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt matured for its full term in Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Spain, a combination of American oak and European oak. It is a limited release, bottled at 46.8% and non-chill filtered.
The nose offers rich dark fruit, with ripe cherry and plum, zesty citrus and a base of nutty milk chocolate and honey-baked oats.
On the palate, crisp red apple comes with dried fruits, cinnamon, vanilla and brown sugar. The finish is long, with spiced stewed apple and a clear hint of sherry.
