Tamdhu 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt, the oldest in the distillery's core range. It was matured in first-fill and refill American and European oak Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, in line with the distillery's practice of using only Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV, non-chill filtered and at natural colour.
The nose has sherried oak with chocolate, sultanas and warm cinnamon porridge. The palate recalls Christmas cake, with plump raisins, candied orange and gentle oak, and the finish is long, with oak and spice giving way to sweet fruit.
