Tamdhu Ámbar is a 14 year old single malt from the 2008 vintage, in a 70cl bottle and bottled at 46% ABV. It was created for travel retail.
The name is the Spanish word for amber, and it refers to the colour the sherry casks give the whisky after 14 years of maturation. Their influence is strong, on the palate as well as in the glass.
The palate is described as smooth and exceptionally complex, with sherry wood character.
