Tamnavulin – 12 Year Old North Star Cask Series 027 Refill PX Octave (70cl, 57.9%)

This is a 12 year old Tamnavulin single malt from Speyside, bottled by North Star Spirits in a 70cl bottle at a natural cask strength of 57.9%. It was distilled in May 2013 and bottled in March 2026. The whisky was matured in four refill octaves that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry, and their contents were married into a batch of 290 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The release is Cask Series 027, which marks North Star Spirits' tenth anniversary. The nose is orange marmalade and toffee apple. The palate brings creamy red berries, and the finish combines chocolate and marzipan with a note of polished wood.
