Tamnavulin – 13 Year Old 2011-2024 Moscatel Port Pipe Finish (Cut Your Wolf Loose) (70cl, 51.2%)

This is a 13 year old Tamnavulin from Speyside, bottled by Cut Your Wolf Loose in a 70cl bottle at 51.2%. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024, with 470 bottles in the outturn. The whisky matured in a refill hogshead and was then finished for two years in a Moscatel Port pipe, which adds a wine influence to Tamnavulin's fruit-forward character. The nose is slow to open, showing apricot Danish, orange marmalade and jammy stone fruit. The palate is silky, with candied citrus, honey and raisins, and a floral lift.
