Tamnavulin – 2007-2024 16 Year Old Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Single Cask (70cl, 56.8%)

A single cask Tamnavulin from Speyside, distilled in 2007 and bottled on 18 March 2024 after 16 years of maturation. Gordon & MacPhail released it in their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength range, in a 70cl bottle at 56.8% ABV. It matured in a refill Bourbon barrel, number 700370, which yielded 178 bottles. The whisky is bottled without chill filtration and with natural colour. The notes on the bottle describe pear, heather honey and citrus zest on the nose, then citrus fruit, green apple and toasted almonds, ending in a long, spicy finish with herbal notes.
