Tamnavulin Double Cask is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was the distillery's own expression after years in which most of its output went into blends.
The whisky is first matured in American oak barrels, then finished in sherry casks.
The nose has chocolate mousse, thick double cream with brown sugar, stewed apples and blackberries. The palate brings Christmas pudding, chocolate brownies, yellow plum and toffee-coated barley. The finish carries a lingering spiced rum sweetness.
