Tamnavulin – Sherry Cask (70cl, 40%)

Tamnavulin Sherry Cask is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It matures first in American ex-bourbon casks, then takes its finish in casks that previously held sherry, sourced from cooperages in southern Spain. The finish builds on the sweet, fruity character of the distillery and adds mild spice and hints of toffee pudding. On the nose, vanilla, caramel and banana meet sweet milk chocolate, with a touch of fresh ginger. The palate brings maple syrup, raisins and orange, with subtle apricot and melon. The finish is rich, with fruit cake and ripe apricots.
