Tamnavulin Sherry Cask Edition is an amber-gold Speyside single malt bottled at 40%. It is matured in American oak barrels and then finished in three different types of sherry cask.
The distillery stands in the village of Tomnavoulin. It opened in 1966, closed in 1995 and reopened in 2007.
The nose is freshly baked tarte tatin and vanilla pods, then banana, caramelised orange and fresh ginger. The palate is warm, with glazed nectarines, syrup, raisins and toffee pudding, and hints of apricot and melon. The finish is rich fruit cake with ripe apricots.
