Tamnavulin Tawny Port Cask is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's Cask Editions range, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The Port Cask edition was introduced in 2024.
The whisky first matures in American ex-bourbon casks and is then finished in tawny port casks, which give the distillery's fruity style a darker side.
The nose offers ripe red berries and plums with dark chocolate, rose syrup, sweet pastry and spiced orange. On the palate come pears poached in honey, berry compote, dried fruit and creamy caramel. The finish is soft and nutty, with mild spice and a gentle sweetness.
