Tanduay Heritage Philippine Dark Rum (40%)

A dark rum from the Philippines, crafted by Tanduay Distillers Inc. It begins with locally sourced sugarcane molasses, fermented with selected yeast strains, then distilled using a blend of column and pot still methods. The rum is aged in oak casks, often previously seasoned with bourbon or other spirits, under the Philippines' tropical climate, where rapid temperature cycles accelerate interaction between spirit and wood. This shapes deep colour, intense fruit aromatics and supple oak influence. The nose is warm and inviting, with molasses, burnt caramel and dark brown sugar, supported by tropical fruit, toasted oak and soft spice, with hints of chocolate and vanilla bean. The palate is medium-to-full bodied.
