This is a Highland single malt from Teaninich, distilled in 2016 and bottled by Signatory Vintage for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. It spent ten years in total in cask, and is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring.
The finish took place in first-fill Pedro Ximénez hogsheads, which add dark fruit and sweetness to the distillery's fresh character.
The nose is led by orange, lemon, crisp apple and light grassy notes, with vanilla, honey and beeswax. On the palate come strong malt and sweet toffee against spicy oak, with a fuller, creamy texture. The long finish keeps honey and raisins, with some dryness and oak spice.
