Teaninich – 10 Year Old Flora & Fauna (70cl, 43%)

Teaninich 10 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Flora & Fauna series, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is chill-filtered and has added colour. The ten year old first appeared in 1992 as a distillery bottling. The porpoises on the label refer to the nearby Cromarty Firth, where they can be seen close to the shore. The series presents Teaninich as a single malt in its own right, since much of the distillery's output goes into blends. The nose is fresh with orange and lemon, then violet, orange juice, a hint of beeswax and clover blossom with water. The palate is light and dry with gentle acidity and a little salt. The finish is long and dry, with beeswax returning.
